Friends of Malawi - Partnerships

Friends of Malawi - Partnerships FOM supports locally-driven, grassroots development projects in Malawi. For example, FOM utilizes the website, online links, social media and the newsletter.

First, FOM seeks to initiate and implement programs, activities, and communications related to Malawians that build fellowship, educate, and inform FOM's community. Second, FOM raises donations to community-based projects in education, health, agriculture, environment, small business development, and others, as appropriate that reflect current Malawian needs. Third, FOM helps promote a better unde

rstanding of Malawians in the local communities of our FOM supporters by providing educational resources and communications that are available.

UNICEF has teamed up with MSNBC (a TV channel) to provide desks to schools in Malawi. Please note that donors can't necessarily specify a school and that some part of donations likely go for administration fees. If you were looking for a way to support schools--this may be an option. For those in Malawi working with schools-- it may be worth checking out.

The proposed toilet/latrine project will occur at Namadzi Primary School, 35 kilometers away from Zomba town. There is f***s on the ground due to a shortage of toilets, particularly for girls.
