We talk a lot about helping someone else. What about ourselves?
It can be easier to notice someone else’s substance use than to look honestly at our own. We tell ourselves we don’t have an “addiction problem.” We can “just say no.”
But then there’s the drink after a difficult day. The second or third we hadn’t planned on. The quiet question about whether it is becoming something we need.
We deserve the same concern we would offer someone we love. We do not have to wait for a crisis to ask questions or seek support.
At Nuvaya, we talk about restoration, recovery, and growth. That is not only for others; those possibilities belong to us, too.
If this feels familiar, consider talking with someone you trust or a healthcare professional. And if you’d like to learn how Nuvaya might help, reach out to me. You do not need to have it all figured out before starting a conversation.
