Last week in , we joined United Way of Southeast Louisiana, the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana, and Verizon for a Small Business Resiliency Workshop focused on practical ways local business leaders can prepare for disruptions.

Many Denver metro high schools already run construction and skilled trades pathways. Colorado employers already know the jobs and skills they need. With funding from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Colorado Succeeds is connecting the two.

Over the next year, CTE instructors, work-based learning coordinators, and Project SCALE employers will work through a six-strategy process based on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Talent Pipeline Management framework. The goal is more rigorous pathways, clearer signals for students, and real experiences like job shadows, internships, and pre-apprenticeships.

Participating districts are 27J Schools, Adams 14, Aurora Public Schools, Colorado Early Colleges, Denver Public Schools, Douglas County School District, Jeffco Public Schools - Colorado, Westminster Public Schools.

Hundreds of thousands of skilled trade jobs are open right now, and Hiring Our Heroes is working to fill them.

Through a Google-backed initiative, Hiring Our Heroes is helping create pathways for 25,000 veterans and military families to enter careers in the skilled trades—bringing their discipline, problem-solving, and work ethic to jobs that need them most.
