Fund for Education Abroad was founded with a simple mission: to increase opportunities for dedicated American students to participate in education abroad programs by providing financial support.

It is with this goal in mind that the late David T. Parry, then-owner of educational travel company Academic Travel Abroad, directed his senior leadership to develop a scholarship initiative, a project which would lead to the creation of Fund for Education Abroad in 2010.

Join us as we delve into the archives of Fund for Education Abroad history to celebrate our 16th year, 1500th scholar, and $5 million awarded since our founding.

This Pride Month, we celebrate our intrepid Rainbow Scholarship recipients and all of our LGBTQ+ scholars.

Since 2010, Fund for Education Abroad has awarded over 65 Rainbow Scholarships to incredible students studying abroad all over the world. FEA scholars return home with broader worldviews, a deeper understanding of their place in history, and greater appreciation for the diversity of the human spirit.

Celebrate the impact of our Rainbow Scholarships with us this June!
