Our Story
Bundy Dog Park partnered with KIPP DC Public Charter Schools on its magnificent renovation of the Bundy Athletic Fields on the 400 block of P Street NW to bring a fenced-in park where dog owners can bring their dogs to play and socialize off-leash. The park, which opened on April 7, 2012, is open to all, and provides a safe space to raise healthy, well-tempered dogs in an urban environment, and it provides an opportunity to bring together members of the community.
Friends of Bundy Park, Inc. is a private, non-profit corporation that manages Bundy Dog Park in partnership with KIPP DC. Friends of Bundy Park, Inc. is comprised completely of neighborhood volunteers who donate their time and money to maintain and improve the dog park and enforce its rules. Friends of Bundy Park, Inc. has contracted with DoodyCalls to clean and empty waste stations, and restock doggy waste bags, once a week, and to deodorize the entire dog park once a month. All costs of dog park improvements, maintenance, cleaning and supplies are funded completely through donations to Friends of Bundy Park, Inc. Please click on the "Donate" tab (http://www.bundydogpark.org/donate.html) to make a donation to support Bundy Dog Park.
