U.S. LEAP

U.S. LEAP Fighting for worker justice in Latin America! USLEAP seeks a global economy in which all workers are treated fairly and paid a living wage.

USLEAP:

(1) advocates for structural reform to advance worker rights protections at the international level (e.g. trade agreements) and national level (e.g. strong, well enforced labor laws); denounces violence against trade unionists in Guatemala, Honduras and Colombia; and holding corporations accountable to their pledges of social responsibility and fair trade, in order to help ensure respect

for workers' rights;

(2) supports workers organizing to improve wages and working conditions at specific plantations or factories in Latin America by collaborating on targeted campaigns, particularly those in the banana sector.
