The Roundtable and the Nathan Cummings Foundation, in partnership with the Henry Luce Foundation Inc Foundation and the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, recently announced The 36 Award, which recognizes individuals doing innovative, courageous work to challenge antisemitism through solidarity — approaches rooted in social justice and coalition-building.

The name comes from the tradition of the lamed-vav: the 36 righteous people said to be present in every generation, often hidden even to themselves, who sustain the world by doing what is right even when it is uncommon. The award is meant to find and amplify exactly those people.

Would you take a moment to think of someone — an unsung hero you know who is building real relationships of solidarity to confront hate, or doing this work in an unexpected place — and consider nominating them?

Honoring visionary efforts and fearless action to dismantle antisemitism through solidarity.
