The panel will spotlight meaningful pro bono opportunities across the District and explore recent local and national legal developments impacting LGBT+ civil rights.

The 2025 Robert E. Wone Judicial Clerkship and Internship Conference will be on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at American University Washington College of Law (4300 Nebraska Ave, NW, Washington, DC 20016). The schedule for the Conference is:

● Breakfast: 8:00am - 9:00am
● Introduction & Panels: 9:00am - 12:00pm
● Lunch Reception: 12:00pm - 1:30pm
● Panels: 1:45pm - 3:30pm

Opening remarks for this year’s Conference will be provided by Judge Theodore D. Chuang, United States District Judge for the District of Maryland. There will be four panels of judges from (1) federal and state appellate courts, (2) federal district courts, (3) state trial and superior courts, and (4) administrative and specialty courts. The day will conclude with a panel of former law clerks.

The Wone Conference is co-sponsored by the Asian Pacific American Bar Association Educational Fund (AEF), Asian Pacific American Bar Association of the District of Columbia (APABA-DC), District of Columbia LGBTQ+ Bar Association, Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia (HBA-DC), Iranian American Bar Association (IABA), South Asian Bar Association of the District of Columbia (SABA-DC), and Washington Bar Association (WBA).
