All DC tenants, regardless of age, are entitled to safe and clean housing. In the past, there have instances where landlords have abused the rights of students through devising improper leases, failing to obtain city licenses, and renting houses in poor condition. GSTA is an organization that partners with the DC Office of the Tenant Advocate. We offer several services: education, lease review, an

d direct advocacy. Our direct advocacy services allow us to file complaints on behalf of students who are experiencing problems with their landlord. We are also available to aid students dealing with parking and trash issues, as well as general off-campus queries. We operate on a case by case basis; students have an opportunity to meet with a tenant advocate in the GUSA office on campus. Click to schedule your appointment today.
