10 Days of Prayer - Washington DC

On 9.22.18, the legacy of prayer in the DMV continues with the Washington Prayer Gathering. Did you know the Easter Sunrise Service at the Lincoln Memorial led by Capital Church has been going for 40 years! The Capital Region National Day of Prayer led by Dr. Corinthia Boone has been going for 34 years. All of these gatherings are about the people of God seeking Him through prayer and worship.

As we draw closer to the 5th Washington Prayer Gathering, we pray for YOU. “We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers…” (1 Thessalonians 1:2-3a)

September 11th is a unique day of reflection and remembrance in Washington DC. Today we pray for ethical leadership at the state, local, and national level; for those who work in public service; and for the needs of our troops, veterans, and their families.

We are asking disciples of Christ with a heart to intercede on behalf of the Nation's Capital, the DMV, and the whole country to join us in 10 Days of Prayer - Washington DC!

Our goal s to pray 24/7 for 10 days and 11 nights in a spirit of humility, repentance, and transformation for our city!

: Washington DC is a city full of busy people. But sometimes we need to slow down so we can hear what God has to say in challenging times.

10 Days of Prayer is an annual opportunity for the Body of Christ in cities around the world like Washington DC to step away from our daily routines and enter into a consecrated time of experiencing God together through worship, prayer, fasting, and fellowship.

In its first year in the Washington DC Area, 10 Days is providing a way for all the believers in the Nation's Capital to unite with Jesus at the center.

Rooted in the 10 Days between the biblical Feasts of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement, we intend to fill Washington DC and its Maryland and Virginia suburbs with prayer and worship from Sunday evening, September 9th until Wednesday evening, September 19th. Our goals is to pray 24/7 for 10 days and 11 nights in a spirit of humility, repentance, and transformation for our city!

We call on any disciples of Christ with a heart to intercede on behalf of our region and the nation as a whole to pray either 1) individually, 2) with a local group or congregation, or 3) on our daily Prayer Line at (605) 472-5422; PIN: 996623.
