Thank you! I wanted to take the time and say thank you to everyone who supported me by donating and following along with my journey across the country this summer. I ended up raising $13,421 individually and as a team, we raised $168,000 for the Ability Experience all in support of people with different abilities. This entire summer was an incredible experience and is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

We made it! 3,800 miles, 11 states, a few flat tires and we’re here. This was truly an incredible experience and is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Thank you to my friends, family, 24 teammates, and everyone in the Boise community who supported me from the beginning. As a team we were able to give out extra grants, raised $168,000 and touched many lives this summer. @ United States Capitol

We made it to Charlotte, NC! Today we were treated with breakfast at the national HQ where I got to see an old friend followed by a friendship visit with the Holy Angels of Charlotte where we ate lunch and had a dance party after! In the first picture is a guy named Chris who I had the pleasure hanging out with today. He’s a huge UNC basketball and Patriots fan and had some killer dance moves🕺🏻 Very memorable day and looking forward to these last few days as we begin to come to a close.

Oh also shoutout to for tuning up my bike today getting me ready for these last few hundred miles🚴🏼‍♂️ @ Charlotte, North Carolina

Journey of Hope 2019

This summer, I will be embarking on a 2 1/2 month long journey across the United States on my bike starting in Santa Barbara, CA and ending in Washington D.C. on August 10th through an event called Journey of Hope. Journey of Hope is hosted by the Ability Experience, which is Pi Kappa Phi’s national philanthropy that serves to empower people living with disabilities. On this 3,600-mile trek across the country, I will be raising money and spreading a message of acceptance and understanding for people with disabilities. Along the way, I will engage with local communities at events called Friendship Visits. Through these events, I will have the opportunity to build strong connections, strengthen individuals lives, and gain a deeper understanding of the struggles that people with disabilities face. As a member of Pi Kappa Phi at Boise State University, I have seen first-hand the impact these interactions can have on the lives of those with disabilities and I am extremely humbled and excited to get the opportunity to now reach communities across the country on this unique, adventure of a lifetime.

My goal is to raise $7,000 for the Ability Experience before June 1st. If you would like to make a donation or learn more about my journey this summer, click the link below to be directed to my personal fundraising page. All donations are tax deductible and will go directly to the Ability Experience. Join me on this adventure of a lifetime by following me on Instagram @colebikesamerica and by liking this page. Thank you!
