We are the Jack and Jill of America Foundation, the oldest African American-led nonprofit organization in the U.S. Celebrating our 55th year, we remain dedicated to addressing issues affecting African American children and families. Our mission is to invest in programs that ensure a strong foundation for children's long-term growth. We believe in access to quality education, healthcare, and a safe environment for every child. This Youth Confidence Day, we celebrate the power of believing in yourself, finding your voice, and having the courage to pursue your dreams.

At the Jack and Jill of America Foundation, we believe confidence grows when young people have access to opportunities, encouragement, and environments where they can learn, lead, and thrive. Through our grants and community partnerships, we invest in programs that help children and teens build the skills, resilience, and self-assurance to shape their futures.

💙💗 Small change, BIG impact! ✨

Who knew a little loose change could go such a long way?! 👏🏾

Through the Loose Change initiative, a collaborative effort between Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated and the Jack and Jill of America Foundation, we’re making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. Each year, contributions are directed to a different region to create lasting impact in our communities.

For the 2025–2026 fiscal year, the Central Region understood the assignment! 🌟 A historic $66,607 was contributed to support five incredible organizations:

This Black Poetry Day, we celebrate the generations of Black poets whose words have inspired change, preserved our history, and given voice to the beauty, strength, and complexity of the Black experience.

From the poetry of yesterday to the voices of tomorrow, storytelling remains a powerful way to inspire imagination, build confidence, and connect generations.

Through our Reading Corner initiatives, the Jack and Jill of America Foundation helps expand access to books, literacy resources, and enriching reading experiences for children in under-resourced communities. Because every child deserves the opportunity to discover the power of words and, one day, perhaps share their own.

🌟 Grantee Spotlight | Jack and Jill of America, Inc. - Oakland County Chapter

Empowering young people starts with creating spaces where they feel safe, supported, and confident in who they are.
Through a $3,000 Health & Wellness Chapter Grant from the Jack and Jill of America Foundation for the 2026–2027 grant cycle, the Oakland County Chapter, in partnership with Identify Your Dreams, is helping young people navigate the transition into adulthood through its Rite of Passage Program.
Designed for youth ages 16–24, this 10-week program provides a culturally responsive space to explore emotional wellness, build healthy relationships, strengthen coping skills, and develop a greater sense of purpose.

📌 The impact so far:
- 16 youth from the Pontiac, Michigan area participated in the program's pilot cohort.
- 111 youth connected with peers, trusted adults, and community resources through the Midway Teen Kickback.
- Participants demonstrated growing confidence in expressing themselves, setting boundaries, and engaging with others.

The program also celebrates each participant's journey with a meaningful rites-of-passage ceremony, recognizing their personal growth and commitment to the future.
We are proud to support the Oakland County Chapter and Identify Your Dreams as they help young people find their voices, protect their peace, and step into adulthood with confidence and purpose.

🎀 Today, we recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
The Jack and Jill Foundation stands in support of those impacted by breast cancer, from those currently navigating a diagnosis to survivors, caregivers, families, and the loved ones we remember. 💗
Our commitment to healthier communities extends beyond awareness. Through our Health & Wellness Grants, we invest in programs focused on physical and mental wellness, prevention education, access to care, and resources that support long-term well-being. Our Village Grants further strengthen families by supporting programs that address barriers to stability and opportunity, including health and wellness needs.
Today, we encourage our communities to stay informed, prioritize their health, support one another, and continue conversations that can make a difference.

Today, we recognize the traditions and stories that have shaped generations, celebrate the vibrant cultures that continue to thrive, and honor the Indigenous communities building the future. 🧡
May this day also be an opportunity to listen, learn, and deepen our appreciation for the diverse Indigenous peoples whose histories and contributions are an essential part of our shared story. 🌎

This World Mental Health Day, we’re reminding our communities that taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body. And no one should have to navigate their mental health journey alone. 💗 From children learning to express their emotions to families navigating life’s challenges, access to mental health resources, safe spaces, and supportive communities can make all the difference.
Through our Health & Wellness Grants, the Jack and Jill of America Foundation is proud to support programs that expand access to mental health resources, education, and care in the communities we serve.

🏙️💙 2026 Annual Board Meeting | Chicago

The Jack and Jill of America Foundation's Board of Trustees recently gathered in Chicago for our 2026 Annual Board Meeting, a time to reflect on our progress, strengthen our shared vision, and look ahead to the work that lies before us.

Together, our Board engaged in meaningful conversations around the Foundation’s continued growth, impact, and commitment to creating greater opportunities for children and families in historically underserved communities.

Gathering in Chicago gave our Board an opportunity to connect in person, exchange ideas, and align around the Foundation’s priorities for the year ahead.

We are grateful to our Board of Trustees for their leadership, service, and continued commitment to advancing the mission of the Jack and Jill of America Foundation.

📚✨ 2026–2027 Reading Corner Grantee Spotlight!

The Jack and Jill Foundation is proud to spotlight the Clear Lake/Bay Area Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and its STEM StoryLab Reading Corner, presented in partnership with Randalls Ministries.

Serving approximately 100 K–5 students and their families in Galveston County, the STEM StoryLab Reading Corner brings literacy and STEM learning together through an engaging “Read–Think–Build–Reflect” model. Students will explore high-interest STEM books, build their vocabulary, conduct hands-on experiments, design creative projects, and strengthen their reading comprehension along the way. 🔬📖💡

The program extends learning beyond the classroom by engaging parents and caregivers through family read-aloud sessions and take-home literacy kits filled with books, vocabulary guides, and STEM activities families can enjoy together.

By combining culturally responsive literature, hands-on discovery, and family engagement, the STEM StoryLab Reading Corner is helping young learners build the confidence, curiosity, and skills to thrive.

We are proud to support programs creating meaningful opportunities for children and families in their communities. 💙
