The wife of an Army sergeant and mother of a 6-year-old was deported on Monday.

Army Sgt. Hedar Leonel Turcios Juarez confirmed that his wife, Cristy Maryori Villafranca Trejo, was deported to Honduras.

HEARTBREAKING: Luis Manuel Aviles, 48, was arrested and detained by ICE as his son, a U.S. Navy sailor, entered his ninth month at sea aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln.

The USS Lincoln recently set the national record for consecutive days spent at sea amid reports of mental health crises, poor-quality rations, and declining morale aboard the ship.

Aviles has lived in the U.S. for 19 years. His wife, Argelia, said that he was arrested on his way to take his car to the mechanic. She says he had a permit to work in the U.S.

U.S. service members are granted a benefit called "military parole-in-place," which allows the spouses, children, and parents of active-duty members to get legal immigration status. Still, a previous investigation by AP News found that the Trump administration has detained over 50 military spouses and parents.
