NSBE DC Professionals

NSBE DC Professionals NSBE, Not Solely Benefiting Engineers nor solely comprised of engineers, is the premier organization of its kind in the region.

The purpose of the NSBE DC Professionals is to "increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community" in the DC metropolitan area. Offering networking, development, and volunteer opportunities to professionals in Washington, DC, Suburban Maryland and Northern Virginia, we are the National Society of Black E

ngineers Professionals, Washington DC Chapter… in short we call ourselves NSBE DC. We are dedicated to the advancement of minority engineers and technical professionals in industry; promoting as well as retaining the number of students currently pursing engineering degrees at the undergraduate and graduate level; stimulating and developing student interest in science and engineering; while also supporting NSBE nationally and locally though its DC Metropolitan student chapters. This is a place where professionals meet to build lasting friendships, share big ideas and invest in the future of science, engineering, and technology. Membership in NSBE DC helps one improve their career, develop leadership abilities, build a network, and give back to the local community! This is done via the chapter's projects and programs that are implemented and executed throughout the year. Such projects and programs include Professional Development Seminars, Technical Roundtable Discussions, Technical Trainings, Conferences, Career Placement Services, Collegiate and High School Mentoring, SAT and College Preparatory Workshops, Community Outreach, as well as our Scholarship programs.
