☀️ Our Free School for Unlimited Youth brought a summer of learning, creativity, and community to Black and Brown K–12 scholars across DC! 📚

From circus arts and rowing to our Back to School Bash, scholars explored new things together. A highlight was DC Freedom School, our weeklong political education camp, where they learned about Black history, digital literacy, poetry, environmental and food justice, and DC’s Go-Go culture—then celebrated with a Black Scholastic Book Fair and party! Swipe for highlights 📸✨

“It was beautiful to watch them discover new things they loved. That’s why it’s so important to support programs like ours — they give kids the opportunity to expand their creativity, discover new passions, and broaden their worldview.” — Miranda Mlilo, SYC/W6MA’s Tutoring & Youth Enrichment Coordinator

A huge thank you to everyone who made the day possible. 💛 More photos + videos still to come!
