Founded in 1967, ASH is America's oldest anti-to***co organization, dedicated to a world with ZERO to***co deaths. About 25% of all deaths in the US are related to to***co. That’s more than murders, car accidents, and HIV/AIDs combined. And 10% of all deaths worldwide are the result of to***co-related diseases. The worst part is that to***co-related diseases and deaths are all preventable. are low

er than they have been in almost a century, the to***co industry is wealthier than ever and is actively marketing efforts in the developing world, cultivating new generations of customers, and subjecting millions to addiction, disease, and death. As the industry’s profits continue to pour in from sales to the world’s poor, the industry continues to donate to political campaigns, file lawsuits against governments, and run advertising campaigns in the U.S. even after decades of public education and lawsuits. Big news from Massachusetts! 🎉

The City of Easthampton has unanimously passed a Nicotine-Free Generation (NFG) ordinance, which will take effect on January 1, 2027.

With this latest victory, 25 cities and towns across Massachusetts have now adopted NFG policies, protecting more than 688,000 residents from the harms of to***co and ni****ne addiction.

Momentum for a to***co-free future continues to grow. Congratulations to Easthampton and all the advocates, policymakers, and community members who helped make this achievement possible.
