Excited to join Professor Shinwon Noh and at the University of St. Thomas to share insights on building Campfire. We discussed our mission to create a nonprofit, community-first streaming platform to reform compensation and music discovery.

The wait for a streaming platform that truly values your art is almost over. Public testing begins this spring.

Ask any working artist, and they’ll tell you the same thing. We need a better model of music streaming.

That’s what we’re working on - a public-benefit streaming service that pays artists and indie rights holders transparently while strengthening music discovery and artist audience connections.

Real music. Real people. Real community.

Campfire’s mission is a large scale streaming platform that pays fairly and provides original music to fans, but we have made sure to prioritize impact at the local level as we build out the long-term vision.

We have hosted concert series that pay artists directly, produced advocacy conferences, and conducted research in local music communities. These efforts keep our work grounded in real experiences of music and musical labor.

We have interviewed hundreds of artists, fans, and music stakeholders about what they want from a new streaming platform. The message is consistent. They want a stronger economic system for independent rights holders paired with a fan experience that supports direct artist audience connections and local music discovery. This community insight shapes every part of Campfire’s long-term streaming vision.

Here are some photos of this in action 🔥
