The Alpha-gal Allergen Inclusion Act (H.R. 1178) and its Senate companion bill S.5498 would add alpha-gal to the definition of major food allergens disclosed on labels, the way milk, eggs, and peanuts are already disclosed.

The Alpha-gal Alliance Action Fund has been calling for a war on ticks, and HHS is launching one.

Today, HHS announced CDC and NIH research into killing ticks on deer, and alpha-gal syndrome is named as a target. This is prevention aimed at the source of the disease, and it is the fight our community has being advocating for.

HHS announced an ambitious new research initiative to address how the nation combats ticks and tickborne diseases.

A big thanks to Senator Mark Warner, for introducing the STOP TICKS Act and a Senate version of the Alpha-gal Allergen Inclusion Act. These bills are a major step forward for the war on alpha-gal syndrome, ticks, and tick-borne disease.
