Woah, check it out! CEF-sponsored org, Rising Organizers, has opened applications for their Fall 2018 fellowship program!

What is the Rising Organizers fellowship? A FREE program that brings together 10-15 beginner from the DC/MD/VA area for an 8-session program, which meets every two weeks over a 16-week period. The fellowship is designed to allow new organizers to develop skills and strategies that will allow them to design their own organizing projects. This fellowship is open to everyone, and is particularly intended for those who have little to no organizing experience. If you do have organizing experience, please do apply, and note your experience in your application.

Check out these awesome pics from CEF-sponsored org, Community Justice Reform Coalition's, 2nd Annual Peacemaker Organizing Summit and Awards Launch this past weekend! Over 200 assembled to talk about strategies to end gun violence in black and brown communities, to hear from experts, and to listen to those impacted by .

More than 200 activists from across the country gathered to to address and activate communities to end gun violence in black and brown communities. We learned about some of the strategies already being implemented, heard from those who do this work every day, practiced how to engage with policy makers and elected officials, listened to the stories of those who have been directly impacted, celebrated the the work of those doing the work every day.
