Official account of the Congressional App Challenge. Coordinated for Congress by the Internet Education Foundation with support from Roblox and other partners.

We encourage you to join us as we challenge students across the country to code their own original apps, and to provide Members of the Congress the opportunity to encourage and recognize the technical and creative talents of their young constituents. Modeled after the Congressional Art Competition, the Congressional App Challenge promotes STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education by recognizing and incentivizing our nation’s young programming talent. As our Congress continues to grapple with technology policy issues ranging from privacy to intellectual property, the Congressional App Competition gives these Members more hands-on experience with technology and entrepreneurship by connecting them with young programmers in their districts. This will help them legislate wisely on issues that enable the United States to compete in a global information economy.

Join us at the U.S. Capitol for 2026! 🇺🇸

At this signature event of the Congressional App Challenge, student winners from across the country will showcase their award-winning apps directly to their Members of Congress inside the Capitol. From AI and cybersecurity to healthcare, education, climate solutions, accessibility tools, and public safety innovations, these young developers are tackling real-world challenges with creativity and code.

brings together dozens of Members of Congress, congressional staff, educators, industry leaders, and families to celebrate the next generation of American innovators. It’s a rare opportunity to see democracy and innovation intersect, where students present their ideas, share their stories, and demonstrate how technology can drive positive change in their communities.

Whether you're passionate about STEM, policy, education, or the future of technology, this is your chance to witness it firsthand.

- Meet the future STEM leaders of America.
- Engage with congressional offices.
- Experience the future of tech at the U.S. Capitol.
