This is Earth Week!

Like every year, we take the time to recognize how important is to use the natural resources to preserve the planet we live in. A good way to do so is helping us out with the solar energy.

Your generosity fuels cleaner air, healthier families, and a more sustainable planet.

Help us bring the power of the sun to communities worldwide.

You can donate on SHE’s website via PayPal, Venmo, or Credit Card to your favorite project – including:
o Solar cookers for poor rural communities in Mexico
o “100 Families” in Nairobi, Kenya
o Solar cookers for refugees in Kenya, Uganda, and Chad
o Solar cooking education and advocacy
o Solar cooking research and development

What your gift can provide:
 $40 — Train a solar cooking ambassador to spark change in their community.
 $75 — Provide three solar cooker kits for three families, creating smokefree homes.
 $150 — Support four families with solar cookers and long-term follow-up.
 $500 — Fund a month of solar cooking social enterprise startup costs, building sustainable livelihoods.

Thanks to a wonderful partnership with Banco de Alimentos Querétaro ,Cáritas de Querétaro, IAP, Club Rotario de Querétaro , Cocineros Solares, Narra Comunicación, and Haines Solar Cookers with sponsorship from the London South, Canada, Rotary club, we have expanded our solar cooking project in Queretaro to a new town in Queretaro: Portezuelo. 15 women who relied on fuel wood for cooking can now use the power of the sun to cook their food. This helps protect their forests, helps cooks breathe in less smoke, and saves them time from firewood collection and cooking labor.
