We are deeply saddened to learn that Randy Rosso, co-Group Leader for RESULTS Virginia, has died of brain cancer. Randy was open about his experience and stalwart in continuing his passionate advocacy even as he walked through diagnosis and treatment.

Throughout his life, Randy applied his enormous expertise, vision, tenacity, and commitment to fighting for a more just and humane world, and even more so in these last months. He delivered a brave, informative, and very personal TEDx talk at TEDx Boston College in late March on the intersection of public policy and food insecurity (the full text of which you can read on his Substack "Make the Math Work").

Randy used the precious time he had to inspire those around him and to call us to remain bold and steadfast in the fight for equity and for a nation and world without hunger and poverty. Our thoughts are with Randy’s family and all the many people who loved him.

RESULTS’ strategic advocacy still works in the most difficult of times. Over the last year, we helped to restart numerous lifesaving global health programs and ensure that millions of people in the U.S. can access food and financial assistance.

46 years on, our work to protect and expand anti-poverty programs is more important than ever. The challenges are great, but we refuse to be afraid to speak out or be overcome by setbacks or hopelessness.

Thank you to our passionate volunteer advocates and generous supporters who power our work!

RESULTS condemns the recent Supreme Court ruling dismantling the remaining viable components of the Voting Rights Act.

In 1965, after years of tireless work—following centuries of struggle through slavery and Jim Crow—civil rights leaders were able to enshrine into law and practice the constitutional guarantee of “one person, one vote” for all Americans.

Sixty years later, the U.S. Supreme Court has turned jurisprudence on its head by gutting this landmark law and dishonoring those who have fought and died for equal protection under the law.

The majority’s decision will further poison our politics by allowing extreme partisan and racially discriminatory gerrymandering. It will make challenging oppressive voting laws more difficult for marginalizing communities, whose voices are systemically shut out of the democratic process.

At RESULTS, our resolve remains firm, and our vision is clear. Poverty cannot end as long as oppression exists, and we will never back down from our mission of creating a world free of both.

RESULTS is disappointed to see the House pass a Farm Bill that fails to support families facing hunger. The Senate must do better.

We are now accepting nominations for two open Grassroots Director seats on the RESULTS board. This three-year term will start in July 2026. Nominate someone who would be a strong voice representing RESULTS volunteers or nominate yourself to take a bold new step in leadership. The election will be held throughout June. Nominations close on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Today, RESULTS celebrates a living legend, Dolores Huerta.

At 96, Dolores continues to remind us that “every moment is an organizing opportunity.” From lobbying for the first financial aid and disability insurance for farmworkers to co-founding the United Farm Workers labor union, her legacy is baked into the advocacy we do at RESULTS every day.

For our teammate Sarah Leone, this history is personal, rooted in a lineage of farmers and the strength of the women who raised her. Swipe through to learn how Dolores reshaped leadership and why we continue the long haul of advocacy in her honor.
