‼️Only 4 Days Away‼️ Get excited because Turning the Page is hosting our Spring Learning Festival in Lincoln Park, and the itinerary is packed! Shop thousands of books for all ages from Carpe Librum and swipe to see our planned kids’ activities!
🗓️Saturday, May 30
⏰9 AM- 5 PM
📍Lincoln Park, 1100 East Capitol Street NE
📚Meet local children’s book author and president of the D.C. Children’s Book Guild, Desaray Myandu. Long ago when all the animals in the African savannah had no tails, little Imbila wanted one so badly! Visitors to author Desaray’s table will use crafty materials to make a tail for Imbila, the adorable but lazy main character of the children’s picture book Imbila’s Tale
📚 Join the National Building Museum for building blocks, coloring books, and crafting some paper weaving projects based on the children’s book Rainbow Weaver
📚 Check out the D.C. Public Library’s book bike, an electric cargo tricycle with a foldout book display
📚 The Giving Square is a nonprofit dedicated to making community engagement meaningful for kids. At this table, kids are invited to serve as book reviewers for TGS Selects, a national book award recognizing compelling stories that inspire empathy, agency, and generosity. Stop by to explore the books under review and learn more about resources and activities for families
📚Visit our Turning the Page booth to learn about our mission and make some book wands to mark where you left off in your next read
📚Shop thousands of Carpe Librum used books, CDs, DVDs, and vinyl records, for all ages, from $3 to $7!
Thank you, Friends of Lincoln Park, for partnering with us.
