Today the world feels a little smaller as we share our love for a giant, Reverend Jesse Jackson.
Reverend Jackson didn’t just talk about change; he lived it, breathed it, and demanded it for all of us. His legacy is etched into the very fabric of this nation, and his voice will echo for generations to come.
On a personal note, I will always treasure the “abiding love” between him and my father, Joseph Lowery. They had a bond of brotherhood rooted in the struggle but fueled by a legendary, sharp-witted humor. They could trade jokes and keep each other laughing in a way only two people who have walked through fire together can. That joy was their superpower.
Our hearts are with the Jackson family. We love you, we thank you, and we stand with you.
Rest well, Reverend. We’ll keep the hope-and the laughter—alive.
