Introducing: Dance in the Circle participating dance group Calico Cloggers! This percussive dance group, based in Northern Virginia, performs at festivals, retirement communities, schools in a variety of styles, including traditional and modern clogging, Irish and Canadian step dancing, tap dancing, and swing. HAPPY 10TH ANNIVERSARY, DANCE IN THE CIRCLE COMMUNITY! 🎉🎂💃🕺
Yes, this event actually happened 10 years ago, in Dupont Circle Park, on Sunday, May 13, 2012 (Mother's Day). It was the product of more than a year of planning by our organizing team (Michael Lipin, Daniel Kramer and Alex Emmerman), and it entertained a crowd of hundreds with the help of a great team of community volunteers and dozens of wonderful dancers from nine participating dance companies. To refresh your memory, click below to see how the Washington Times covered the event!

In the coming days, we'll try to share more on this page to celebrate the anniversary, and hopefully bring you up to date on what the Dance in the Circle participants of 2012 are doing now!
