Groundbreaking nonprofit prevents youth violence and builds safer communities in the DC Metro area and beyond.

The Alliance of Concerned Men (ACM) is an award-winning nonprofit organization with the goal of saving lives of at-risk youth residing in high crime areas of the Washington DC metropolitan community. Since 1991, ACM has been providing community services to families and children at-risk and in crisis throughout the Washington Metropolitan area. ACM is proud to boast many success stories in its efforts to assist youth in crisis. ACM works passionately with District youth who are most at-risk. Building national attention and global membership, ACM is dedicated to its commitment to serve youth and families and help each individual served reach their own personal best.

ACM's after school programming led by Ladera Davis and her team is going full speed! We introduce our youngest learners to the importance of giving back, resolving conflicts peacefully, and making a difference in their communities. Experiences like these remind us that investing in our youth and exposing them to positive role models are essential steps toward building stronger communities. What day it was! Ladera Davis ACM Program Coordinator was at Career Day at Kimball Elementary School in Southeast Washington, D.C., where she served on a panel speaking with first-grade students about her role as a Program Coordinator with the Alliance of Concerned Men.
She had the opportunity to share how ACM works to make a positive impact in Wards 7 and 8 through community outreach, conflict resolution education, after-school programming, and summer school programming. We love our community!

Another school year has started with our youth! We have just kicked off our OST programming planning meeting. We are so proud to be a partner. The Office of Out of School Time Grants support the equitable distribution of high-quality out-of-school-time programs for District of Columbia youth. Our youth are our priority and we will always be available to help them prepare for their best possible futures.

ACM is a bridge to protect our youth from the dangers of growing up too fast in a uncertain environment. Our Credible Messenger teams help guide and teach our youth what to look out for, how to respond in dangerous situations. We teach them conflict resolution skills early in elementary and middle school so they have a chance of a better future ahead. 👏👏

Here at ACM we help all families in the program because we are family, and we know when trouble comes and when circumstances are scary and challenging we are there always to give help, advice and support no matter who it may be.❤️❤️

What can a parent do? We have to be open and meet people where they are - you never know what people go through. Camille Perry describes the challenges of being a single parent. We at ACM engage with youth and young adults to help them know where to go for help to be safe - we are passionate about serving others.👏👏

We provide trusted leadership and innovative, successful interventions regarding youth violence, gang intervention and mediation in the District of Columbia. We meet people where they are at. Year after year, decade after decade we help youth and families, meet their challenges, overcome bad circumstances and learn a better way to handle conflict. We are problem solvers and community champions for the people. We don't give them answers we help them discover it for themselves.
