Through this project we will honor our true heroes -- military veterans and first responders in a uniform –as well as their families and survivors -- in a unique and innovative manner that incorporates both the Flag and the Bible. When placing our hand on our heart to pledge allegiance to the Flag or at the sound of the national anthem, those wearing the HEROES UNITY USA ribbon will know they are placing their right hand on both the Flag AND the Bible – simultaneously and equally. HEROES UNITY USA is engaging elected officials, major national organizations, informal educational networks, corporate leadership as well as celebrities of all kinds – sports, entertainment, music – to honor our heroes on a federal, state and county level, as well as through cities and townships and any other regional structure that choose to participate. Most Americans agree that the brave and dedicated men and women that allow our freedom and way of life to be preserved and defended deserve our thanks and deserve to be saluted. Armed Forces

The HEROES UNITY USA board (in formation) includes veteran representatives of the various service branches as well as the first responder community, military spouses and other concerned and caring Americans with strong community and service ties. For a full board overview please see our website. What Is the Jerusalem Nano Bible? The Jerusalem Nano Bible, the world’s smallest printed Bible, is a tiny 4.77mm X 4.77mm Bible printed on a sliver of silicon. It weighs less than 0.01 grams and can be embedded or affixed to almost any surface without adding bulk or significant mass. The Jerusalem Nano Bible is currently available in the following versions:
• Jewish Tanach – in the original Hebrew
• Christian Bible – in the original Greek (TextusReceptus)
Work is underway to complete the King James Version in English. Other possible future versions could include The U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Why Now? Many Americans lament the deterioration of Memorial Day into a cue to the start of summer, marked by barbecues and retail sales, while its true purpose is to stand in silent awe of those who sacrificed everything for our freedom. The invention of the Jerusalem Nano Bible provides a unique opportunity. For the first time, and at reasonable cost, we can synthesize the Flag and the Bible – the essence of the United States. This tiny but immensely powerful item – a Flag bar embedded with the Bible – is but a small gift of gratitude and love. How to Participate in This Unity Project? HEROES UNITY USA welcomes all levels of participation in honoring our heroes, from individual pledges to large grants and sponsorships. HEROES UNITY USA will accept appropriate corporate/industry sponsors, organizational involvement and individual donors who wish to make a statement to the public in support of our many heroes or who wish to quietly say thank you to those who help us every day. Sponsorship opportunities are endless. A few options include:
• Working with your local Chamber of Commerce to honor/thank your local heroes
• Honoring veterans or first responders on Veterans’ Day or First Responders’ Day
• Adopting a VA (or portions of) for honor on Veterans’ Day
• Supporting outreach to homeless, unemployed or under-employed veterans
• Adopting a military cemetery (or portions of) for honor on Memorial Day
• Sponsoring the production of a custom version of the Flag/Bible
