Green SEED Garden The SEED garden is an organic community garden consisting of 44 raised bed garden plots plus a large open community area.

SEED garden was officially opened in April of 2010 and is located between Seventeenth St, Eighteenth St, E St and D St (SEED). In 2011 we are joining forces with neighboring garden Green East; more information to come!

Hi neighbors! This Saturday some garden members will hold a yard sale on the triangle park at 17th and E St. SE to benefit Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. If you would like to add some items (or buy some!) come on down this Sunday (10/1) from 10am-4pm. We will have potluck cocktails and snacks in the garden afterwards.

Hi friends!

This is a reminder that we will be hosting our annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday! All gardeners are welcome!

We encourage parents to stop by the garden before 9:30 AM to hide eggs and socialize. The hunt will start at 10 AM. Please bring about a dozen eggs per child to share filled with age-appropriate treats (e.g., stickers for little little kids). The interior of the South Garden will be dedicated to young children. The rest of the garden area (including the perimeters) will be for big kids.

Some refreshments will be provided. We encourage all attendees to bring food items to share.

In the Asian garden: lemongrass, Chinese broccoli (cook and eat the stalks), Thai amaranth (greens cook up like spinach), Chinese long bean (ready in late summer). Help yourself to a sustainable harvest! Tomatoes and kale volunteering as well, along with some other herbs.
