The Tewaaraton Award is recognized as the pre-eminent lacrosse award, annually honoring the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States.

Visit www.tewaaraton.com. Lacrosse in one of the oldest team sports played in North America. Rooted in centuries of Native American tradition, the game took on many variations before reaching its present day form. “Tewaaraton,” is the Mohawk name for their game and the progenitor of present day lacrosse.

The youngest finalist for the 2026 Tewaaraton Award Presented by Stifel, sophomore Alyssa Chung was first-team All-American and the Patriot League Tournament MVP. Navy’s first Tewaaraton finalist, Chung put up 118 points in 2026, good for fourth in DI, while leading the Mids to a program-record 20 wins and an appearance in the NCAA Quarterfinals.

Finalist pics from the 2026 Tewaaraton Ceremony Presented by Stifel: Willem Firth was the 2026 Ivy League Attackman of the Year after putting up 52 goals (ninth all-time at Cornell) and 29 assists for the Big Red. He’ll be back this fall as a senior already ranking 14th on CU’s career goals list with 106.

Pics from Brigid Duffy’s trip to DC as a finalist for the 2026 Tewaaraton Award Presented by Stifel. Currently sitting second in points with 20 through four WLL games for the Maryland Charm, Duffy goes down as one of Army’s greatest all-time athletes, a four-time All-American in lacrosse and a Patriot League and ECAC Offensive Player of the Year in soccer. She finished her Army career as the program’s all-time leader in goals, draw controls, caused turnovers, and groundballs.

Finalist Appreciation Post: UNC’s Owen Duffy is a three-time All-ACC and All-American attackman who has put up 50 points in each of his first three seasons in Chapel Hill. This year Duffy, a finalist for the 2026 Tewaaraton Award Presented by Stifel, was a first-team All-American with 71 points. He was joined in DC by his parents William and Christine Duffy.

Tewaaraton Finalist appreciation post: Reagan O’Brien graduated from Johns Hopkins as one of the most decorated defenders in NCAA history: a 2026 finalist for the Honda Award and the 2026 IWLCA Defender of the Year, she holds the NCAA career (254) and single-season (103) records for caused turnovers and was a first-team All-American the last two seasons from the IWLCA, Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse. A finalist for the 2026 Tewaaraton Award Presented by Stifel, O’Brien was twice named the Big Ten Defender of the Year and led Johns Hopkins to its first NCAA Division I Final Four appearance and a program-record 17 wins this season.

Finalist appreciation post: Princeton’s Nate Kabiri was first-team All-American and All-Ivy, Most Outstanding Player at the Ivy League Tournament and AlL-NCAA Tournament in leading the Tigers to the National Championship and putting up 87 points (tied for tops in DI with fellow finalist Joey Spallina) this spring. The incoming senior was in DC for this year’s Tewaaraton Ceremony Presented by Stifel with his parents Moe and Alicia.
