DC Kids Cook Nearly 1 in 4 children in America is at risk of hunger. Together we can end childhood hunger in Shaw by 2015! Metropolitan Area.

Professional chefs and nutritionists volunteer their time and expertise to lead hands-on courses that teach kids to eat better! The Capital Area Food Bank is the largest public, nonprofit food and nutrition education resource in the Washington, D.C. Last year, the CAFB distributed 23 million pounds of food, including 6.6 million pounds of fresh produce, to over 700 partner agencies including Marth

a’s Table, Food & Friends and Bread for the City. The CAFB also has a distribution center in Northern Virginia.

It's a new year and a new school! This year, we kicked off at Kelly Miller Middle School with a healthy cookie bake sale to help the cheerleaders buy new uniforms: Chocolate pumpkin cupcakes, avocado chocolate chip cookies, gluten free black bean brownies and butter free oatmeal raisin cookies
