Because it is impossible to stand at 16 memorials at once, we brought Notes of Remembrance to you. 🇺🇸

This past Memorial Day, the Doughboy Foundation, in partnership with the Trust for the National Mall and the National Park Service, presented "Notes of Remembrance: Taps Across the National Mall".

Sixteen Doughboy Foundation buglers stood at 16 different memorials across the National Mall in Washington, D.C., playing Taps in a synchronized and unified tribute to our fallen service members.

No single visitor could be everywhere at once—but this video changes that. We have produced a special video montage that weaves all 16 performances together. For the first time, you can experience the full, powerful scale of this tribute across "America's Front Yard" in a single viewing.

▶️ Watch the full montage here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rfj8oA512m0

Take a moment to listen, reflect, and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

🇺🇸 Celebrating 5 Years of Honor 🎺

Five years of rain, snow, and sunshine. Five years of paying tribute to the 4.7 million Americans who answered the call during the First World War.

Today, we proudly celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Daily Taps Program at the National WWI Memorial in Washington, D.C.!

Every single day at exactly 5:00 PM ET, a bugler in WWI "Doughboy" uniform steps forward to sound Taps. It’s a powerful, daily moment of reflection and a solemn promise to keep faith with all who have served.

How You Can Honor the Legacy:

Visit Us in Person: Heading into DC? Join us at the memorial (located on Pennsylvania Ave, right in front of the Willard Hotel) at 5:00 PM ET for this beautiful tribute.

Watch Live: Can't make it in person? You can listen to Taps LIVE every day at 5:00 PM ET on the Doughboy Foundation YouTube.

Dedicate a Tribute: Celebrate a cherished veteran by dedicating a livestreamed sounding of Taps in their name at www.doughboy.org

Thank you to the dedicated buglers, our supporters, and everyone who has stopped to listen over the last five years.

A special thank you to our Founding Sponsor, the Gary Sinise Foundation, for making this daily tribute possible. We also appreciate the incredible support from our program partners, including the National Park Service and Taps for Veterans

Lest we forget.

What an absolute honor to be at Oriole Park for weekend! ⚾️🇺🇸

The Doughboy Foundation AEF Headquarters band brought some incredible history and patriotic spirit to the field today! Not only did they perform a stunning National Anthem in their historically accurate 1918 uniforms to honor America's Great War veterans, but they are also taking the field for a special performance of "God Bless America" during the 7th-inning stretch! 🎺🎵

Making the ceremonies even more powerful, the US Army Military District of Washington Colorguard stood tall on the field alongside the inspiring kids and families from Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). Seeing the children of our nation's fallen military heroes out there on the field gave everyone in the stadium absolute chills. 💔

❤️📸 Caught a quick selfie in the stands cheering on the Baltimore Orioles with our amazing Operations Manager, Kevin Paul, and President & CEO, Clair Sassin!

The energy here is unmatched! 🔥Whether you are soaking up the sunshine here in Baltimore or cheering from home, today is all about honoring those who served and sacrificed.

Let’s go O's!Drop a 🇺🇸 or an 🟠 in the comments to show your support and team spirit! 👇

Honor our heroes this National Poppy Day by wearing the vibrant red flower of remembrance. Born from the battlefields of WWI, the poppy stands as a lasting symbol of sacrifice, adopted by The American Legion over a century ago.

Today, as we observe National Poppy Day, we look back to the muddy battlefields of Europe where the red poppy became a beacon of hope and a lasting international symbol of remembrance.

This powerful tradition was officially embraced on September 27, 1920, when the poppy was named the official flower of the American Legion Family. Their efforts to honor those who served eventually led Congress to officially designate the Friday before Memorial Day as National Poppy Day National Poppy Day.

Immortalized in John McCrae’s famous poem “In Flanders Fields,” the little red flower has become an international symbol of remembrance, to honor all who have died in the service of their country. This floral tribute now grows at America’s World War I Memorial–amidst the stone and metal, blooming every spring–as we keep faith with those who lie in Flanders Fields.

You can keep the memory of our fallen Doughboys alive and support the mission of The Doughboy Foundation by wearing a poppy pin all year round.

Show your support and honor the "War that Changed the World" by grabbing yours today in the Doughboy Shop.
