NHAAN initiated Q1 2026 with coordinated advocacy actions at both the federal and state levels. In March, 50 members representing 7 states participated in AIDSWatch 2026, NMAC Policy Training, and conducted 22 congressional meetings to advance federal policy priorities related to HIV/AIDS funding, access, and care.

At the state level, members engaged in targeted advocacy efforts in Florida in response to proposed changes to ADAP eligibility. NHAAN also facilitated member engagement at the Biomedical Summit in Chicago.

As a result of these efforts, NHAAN added 21 new members in Q1, reflecting continued growth in network reach and engagement. We’re building power, expanding our reach, and driving advocacy that leads to impact. https://www.nmac.org/programs/treatment/50-healthy-and-strong-program/nhaan/

Mental health matters! Behind every statistic is a real person navigating stigma, relationships, and the weight of being misunderstood. That emotional load can be heavy.

Never forget - Asking for support is a sign of strength and mental health care is just as important as physical care

If you’re living with HIV, you deserve compassion, community, and access to care that honors your whole self. And if you’re an ally, your voice helps create a world where people feel safe, seen, and supported.

Let’s talk openly. Let’s listen deeply. Let’s end stigma together. ❤️
