Business Council for Sustainable Energy

Business Council for Sustainable Energy The Business Council for Sustainable Energy: A coalition of the renewable energy, energy efficiency, & natural gas industries.

The Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) is a coalition of companies and trade associations from the energy efficiency, natural gas and renewable energy sectors; it also includes independent electric power producers, investor-owned utilities, public power, commercial end-users and project developers and service providers for environmental markets. In 2012 the Council celebrated its 20th

anniversary and marked two decades of advocating for policies at the state, national and international levels that increase the use of commercially-available clean energy technologies, products and services. Industry leaders from the energy efficiency, renewable energy and natural gas sectors came together in 1992 to form a coalition dedicated to creating a more secure and sustainable energy future. That vision continues today as the Council’s industries work together to meet U.S. energy needs and revitalize the American economy. Each year BCSE releases the Sustainable Energy in America Factbook with Bloomberg New Energy Finance that provides up-to-date, accurate market intelligence about the broad range of industries that are contributing to the country’s move towards cleaner energy production and more efficient energy usage (http://www.bcse.org/sustainableenergyfactbook.html).
