Founded in 2016 by Trish Glowacki, a parent who recognized the need for more and better mental health

Through informative and entertaining short films and accompanying materials, glow media will educate youths, their families, and educators, in an effort to reduce stigma, correct misconceptions, and reinforce the reality that mental health affects everyone.

This Pride Month, we're highlighting THIS IS ME, a coming-of-age story about identity, acceptance, and finding the courage to be yourself.

Inspired by true events, THIS IS ME follows Luke, a high school junior struggling to share his sexual orientation with the people he loves most. As he navigates self-discovery, he finds support in unexpected places and learns what it means to embrace who he truly is.

We’re looking for middle and high school students across Nebraska to share how growing up in a constantly connected digital world has impacted their lives. From social media pressure and screen addiction to digital overconsumption, comparison, isolation, and the struggle to unplug, we want to hear your perspective on the importance of finding balance in today’s technology-driven world.

Submit 1–2 paragraphs for a chance to have your idea developed into a short film through The Connection Project. 🎬

✨ It’s here! ✨ In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re excited to share DISCONNECTED, Glowmedia’s newest short film in partnership with Clarkson Institute. Now available to watch for free on our website!

Written by Beau Thomas and directed by Sydne Horton, this powerful story explores the impact of AI on young people’s emotional lives and opens up conversations around connection, technology, and mental health.
