By the Numbers: The ELC Scholarship Program 🎓

Since 1995, The ELC Scholarship Program has helped support the next generation of business leaders. In 2026, 100 scholars are receiving scholarship support, representing 45 colleges and universities across the country.

Here’s a look at this year’s scholar cohort:
🎓 73% attend HBCUs
📚 50% are juniors
💼 95% have leadership experience
🤝 65% have completed internships
🌱 1 in 3 are first-generation college students
⚖️ 50% male | 50% female
💡 Top fields of study include Computer Science, Finance, and Business

These scholars are already making an impact on their campuses, in their communities, and in their future careers. We’re proud to invest in their continued growth and leadership.

The Executive Leadership Council will honor Exelon with the 2026 ELC Corporate Award at The ELC Recognition Gala on Friday, Oct. 30, at the Ga***rd National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.

The Corporate Award recognizes companies with a sustained commitment to developing talent, strengthening leadership pipelines and creating impact in the communities they serve. Exelon’s record shows that commitment at every stage:

Nearly $114 million invested in workforce development since 2019
More than 19,000 people in over 100 programs in 2025 alone
1,700+ students reached through the Exelon Foundation STEM Academies, with scholarship recipients now joining Exelon full time

“A strong leadership pipeline begins long before someone receives an executive title,” said The ELC President and CEO Michael C. Hyter.

Congratulations to Lynton Scotland, who joined the board of The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (WAPA).

Scotland brings more than three decades of executive leadership and utility-sector experience spanning engineering, procurement, supply chain management, operations, strategic sourcing and organizational leadership. His professional career includes leadership roles with major chemical, materials, energy and utility organizations, including DuPont, NRG Energy and the Consolidated Edison Company of New York.
