The ELC Member Rhonda Mims was the keynote speaker at the Philadelphia Tribune’s annual Women of Achievement luncheon and was quoted in the Tribune.

“This celebration belongs to the honorees today. We will lighten our shared load, inspire future generations and lead the way forward into brighter tomorrows,” she said during her address.

Additionally, Mims encouraged the honorees and attendees to stop waiting for permission to speak up because it could change their career path like it did for her.

“For too long our leadership has been defined by impossibly narrow standards,” she said. “We’re expected to be strong, but not too strong. But here’s the truth: we don’t need permission to lead and today we’re no longer asking for it.”
