2. Government Affairs:
By providing a unified industry voice, the WPRC increases the tactical and operational equipment industry’s ability to address issues important to U.S. The
WPRC represents its membership's interests in the legislative and policy arena, advocates for research and development of superior tactical and operational equipment for U.S. warfighters, raises awareness of the fact that the Department of Defense base budget provides insufficient funds for tactical and operational equipment, and backs policy initiatives that impact and support the U.S. industrial base.
3. Education:
The WPRC represents all facets of the tactical and operational equipment industry by:
a. coordinating with military leaders and industry to project future
warfighter needs and design and manufacture the gear that keeps
our warfighters safe and effective in combat; and
b. educating policymakers on funding issues that surround properly
supplying U.S. warfighters with tactical and operational equipment.
4. Networking and Exhibitions:
The WPRC hosts periodic meetings for its members to provide timely updates on DoD tactical and operational equipment policy and to provide networking opportunities for its members.
5. Independent Research and Media Outreach:
The WPRC monitors and provides analysis of relevant policy and legislative issues, conducts independent research and provides media outreach and consistent media messaging in keeping with the mission of the WPRC.
