The American Muslim & Multifaith Women's Empowerment Council Empowering Muslim and Multifaith women We seek to empower, enlighten and engage Muslim women of America to become a strong voice for all Muslims.

We promote civic leadership and engagement and work with all government and non-goverment organizations to build resilience and capacity in our communities. We work with Interfaith organizations to foster closer ties and become a united voice for peace. We are all inclusive, welcoming & Multifaith.

The Interfaith Council of Metropolitan Washington hosted its 21st Annual Unity Walk on October 25 in Northwest Washington, D.C., bringing together diverse faith communities to promote understanding, unity, and cooperation.

Participants visited churches, a Sikh gurdwara, a Buddhist center, and the Islamic Center of Washington, engaging with religious leaders and exploring different traditions. The event featured cultural performances, interfaith discussions, community service activities, and environmental workshops under the theme “Reimagine the Future.”

The walk began at Annunciation Catholic Church and concluded at the Islamic Center of Washington, celebrating the region’s religious and cultural diversity.

A powerful multifaith coalition came together on Capitol Hill to defend one of America’s most fundamental freedoms: the right to worship without fear.

Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Hindu, Sikh and other national organizations have joined in support of the bipartisan, bicameral Right to Worship Act. More than 30 national organizations now back the legislation, which was introduced in the House by Rep. Tom Suozzi and Congressman Brad Knott and in the Senate by Sen. Elissa Slotkin and Senator Ted Cruz .

Here, members of our coalition are meeting with congressional offices in the Senate to advocate for religious freedom and explain why protecting access to houses of worship matters to communities across America.
