"Our members were heard, validated, and challenged to think differently, think big, and balance what needs to happen now with what's possible for DC's future."

That was Coalition President & CEO Stephen Glaude's takeaway following today's conversation with Democratic mayoral nominee Janeese Lewis George.

Coalition members were excited to meet with Janeese and learn more about her vision for DC's future. The robust conversation covered economic mobility, improvements across government agencies, housing, small business support, workforce development, the arts as an anchor industry, and opportunities to strengthen partnerships with higher education and health systems.

These conversations are essential to ensuring the voices of community development practitioners help shape the policies, partnerships, and investments that will strengthen our communities for years to come.
