For over 5 months, she has been wrongfully detained & used as a political pawn during an ongoing war between Russia & Ukraine. Brittney's detention has been an indefensible & agonizing attack not only on Griner herself, but her wife & family!

We join ’s family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones in deep appreciation of the Biden Administration for its continued efforts to secure Brittney’s freedom and making sure that she returns home safely, where she rightfully belongs.

On behalf of 92 affiliates and the Urban League movement, we send our heartfelt congratulations to the Griner family and will respect their privacy during this time.
