Through participation in the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations’ Model Arab League (MAL) program students learn about the politics and history of the Arab world, and the arts of diplomacy and public speech. The Model Arab League program is an diplomatic simulation and academic forum centered around the regional and international policies of the 22 Arab countries that comprise the League of Ar

ab States. Annually, the MAL hosts over 2,000 students from over 200 different High Schools, Colleges, and Universities.

Did you know GVSU hosts the Michigan state NCUSAR's Model Arab League Program? Dr. Courtney Jean Freer from Emory University Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies Department is kicking off this year's program by discussing the complex relationship between oil, religion, and power in the Arabian Gulf.
