Our Earth Institute was established in order to create a dynamic network of persons and organizations with special talents, connecting U.S. organizations with each other and with the Global South. This network strives to develop and promote policies that place control of the world’s resources back into the hands individuals and communities, rather than in the pockets of governments and corporation
s. Our Earth Institute works to further democratic rights, build sustainable communities, protect indigenous peoples rights, and to ensure the health and well being of the planet and its entire people. No longer will small or recently formed Non-Profits and NGO’s have to start off or function on their own. Our Earth Institute furnishes a forum where member organizations can share expertise with each other, and provides collaboration and consultation services to help each member organization accomplish their mission. Primary among Our Earth’s programs is the “Extractive Industry Accountability Project,” where like-minded individuals and organizations are joining together to increase the effectiveness and impact of their campaigns. It is our feeling that by working together, we can speak with a louder, more powerful voice than we can alone, and thus be better able to accomplish our collective goals. Please join us!
