Last night’s concert at the KFDC was truly unforgettable! A remarkable celebration of music and artistry.

We experienced the extraordinary talent of jazz pianist Mateusz Kołakowski, whose performance captivated everyone. His original compositions were a remarkable blend of classical mastery and contemporary jazz expression. His interpretations of Polish songs were simply breathtaking. Mateusz mesmerized the audience from the first note to the last.

The evening was hosted by Robert Świstelnicki, a lyricist, composer, philosopher, and multi-instrumentalist whose poetry added yet another dimension to the program.

Thank you to Mateusz Kołakowski and Robert Świstelnicki for sharing their exceptional talents and creating such a memorable evening.

The event is co-sponsored by the Sylvan and Eugenia Bobinski Fund.

🎶 What a wonderful evening of music and poetry we shared last Saturday at the KFDC!

The concert was a true musical treat, featuring outstanding performances by Devree Lewis and Susanna Mendlow (cello), Agata Miklavc and Holly Nelson (violin), Ting-An Wei (viola), and Jason Solounias (piano).

The program opened with Karol Szymanowski’s Mythes, Op. 30, beautifully interwoven with poetry readings by Susanna Mendlow, bringing the stories of Arethusa, Narcissus, and Pan vividly to life.

Following intermission, the audience was treated to Franz Schubert’s magnificent String Quintet in C Major, D.956, performed with artistry, passion, and depth.

We were delighted to welcome a full house, and the enthusiastic reactions from our guests throughout the evening made the event even more special.

Thank you to everyone who joined us: to our performers, guests, and sponsors for making this evening such a success.
