F.L.I.I.
- Financial Literacy & Investment Institute -
We believe that smart money management, investing and budgeting are keys to success in the USA and abroad. Never has that been more true than now while operating in a global economy. The statistics for financial literacy in the United States are abysmal. Even more abysmal is the financial literacy of minority groups. This is why our mission,
our responsibility to our community is based on providing financial literacy to under served minority groups across the United States. Equipping them with the tools needed to grow personal wealth and maintaining a flourishing community. Our plan is simple: To provide financial literacy to minorities of all ages. Laying the foundation for acquiring wealth and maintaining it. We have 5 core principles that our programs are modeled after.
1. Financial literacy for everyone. We believe that financial literacy is the key to achieving your goals. If everyone were to be financially literate then our economy would be the beneficiary of it. We have 2 programs that are based off of financial literacy. First our Financial Literacy classes which we will offer in minority communities to members of all ages that want to build their financial foundation. They will learn everything from budgeting to credit score to retirement investing. Second we will create a endowment fund that will help shift policy nation wide to provide everyones kids with financial education through out school and college. While funding institutions that take a proactive approach to change their own policies to include financial literacy education in their curriculums.
2. Finance Industry participation of minority groups. We want to open the door for the minority community to enter the financial sector of our economy. So that they can serve the financial needs and teach financial literacy to their own communities. We have 1 program based off this principle. Our Financial Vocational program will focus on graduating minorities from non-degree required financial jobs that require a certificate or specific job related knowledge. High achieving graduates will receive a scholarship to pursue a degree in the finance industry.
3. Mentorship and Internship. We believe that every successful person needs a mentor to achieve the heights of their success. We want to mentor high school students so that they stay focused on what matters to them financially. Motivate them into college or help them foster their entrepreneurial spirit. We also believe that internships allows students(high school and college) to find their calling and build the necessary experience to enter the market place prepared. We have 1 program that holds this principle true. Our Mentorship/Internship program will allow us to connect with our young future. Teaching them how to lay their success foundation and achieving their goals. We will also teach them how to operate in a highly competitive industry and be able to translate that to any career they desire to pursue. Experience is priceless.
4. Community service. We believe that serving your community is by far one of the most important things a person can do as they grow. Being able to foster positive relationships within your community is critical to your personal success. Raising a family in a community devoid of community members participating in its success is horrible. A community is only as strong as its weakest member. We have 1 program that fosters this principle. Our Organized Community Education classes will teach community members how to come together to take back and control their own neighborhoods. From political process to fundraising to social reform classes we will provide to help strengthen neighborhoods across the country.
5. Walk the talk. Many people would feel our mission is complete by just educating all minorities. But we feel that education with no action is just idle knowledge. Knowledge is not power. Applied knowledge is the real power. We have one program that takes that saying literally and applies their knowledge to the benefit of our membership. Our Crowd Funded Investments program or how we like to call it Communal Economics. Is going to allow real estate deals(The number one wealth creation vehicle in the USA) to be presented to our membership group. Where our members will be able to "crowd fund" the deal and then split the profits between the "crowd" that funded the deal(based on your initial investment). This way we are not just teaching. But guiding people along their financial literacy journey. "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."
