BIG NEWS as we gear up for fall! 🏈🍁

We’re honored to partner with Area 2 Farms to GROW GOOD and suit up our scholarship athletes with jerseys for the upcoming season. Each 4-week harvest purchased sends $40 to Flag Star — enough to provide jerseys for two players. 🥬🥦🫜

This initiative runs through August, and we’re excited to see the impact our community can make as we get ready for an incredible season ahead! ⭐️

Huge shoutout to our former athletes who started ballin’ with us and are now shining at the next level. Watching them grow from youth flag to college football has been such a joy. The grind, the heart, the glow‑up… all of it.

Once Flag Star, always Flag Star. Keep making us proud out there! 🔥💪🏽

Tyler Frederick. DL, Northwestern University. Started in K-1. Rec Player, Elite Player, Camp Counselor, Coached his Sister. And very gracefully proved he’s stronger than Carl.

Grayson Reid. OL, University of Virginia. Flag Star Golden Child / Player / Coach / Leads UVA Football Team in community service hours volunteered.

Reed Phillips. WR, Harvard College. Flag Star player turned Intern of The Century. Repping the Crimson!

Will Martin. RB, Harvard College. Started his career with Flag Star. Heading to Harvard to play alongside Reed.

Brett Paukstis. QB, Tulane University. Lil’ Peyton Manning. Long-time player (Elite & Rec), leader, role model.

Joey Johnston. WR, Wash U. Long-time ‘Elite’ player. Maybe the hardest working kid in Flag Star history.

🏆 3X JUNIOR OLYMPIC CHAMPIONS!!!! 🏆

Last year, we came so close to gold and fell just short. That one stuck with us all year.

This year, 11 of our teams qualified for the AAU Jr. Olympics. That meant early mornings, late evenings, extra reps, tournament after tournament. The kids showed up for it. Families showed up for it. And our coaches put everything they had into getting this group ready. Every practice, every pep talk, every moment these kids needed someone in their corner.

This weekend, it all came full circle — our 15U, 13U, and 12U Red all captured gold 🥇🥇🥇, and 9U brought home silver 🥈. Six teams made it to the Final Four, and five more competed their hearts out. 🔥

We’re proud of our Showcase crew for a lot of reasons, but mostly because of what it took to get here. The losses that pushed us, the families who never stopped showing up, and coaches who believed in these kids the whole way through.

To every athlete, every family, every coach, every supporter — thank you for this incredible, memorable Showcase season. 🙏 ⭐️

So many ways for Girls to play, grow, and shine at Flag Star:

☀️Girls Flag Summer Camp registration is OPEN for rising 3rd-8th graders (+ a new high school option!)
⭐️ Girls Elite tryouts are happening NOW for rising 4th-9th graders
🏈 UMD Coach Locks Girls Camp June 20th

LOOKING BACK - In just ONE year:
⭐️ Girls Elite grew from 4 teams to 16
🏈 We launched 3 Showcase teams, including a Junior Olympics qualifier
🏅 Girls flag became an officially sanctioned high school sport in MD + DC
👯‍♀️Our K-1 divisions exploded with growth
⭐️ Cap Hill + Alexandria leagues more than doubled
‼️ We grew from 5 on-field female staff members to nearly 30 women coaching, mentoring, and leading on the field

Incredibly grateful for every athlete, parent, coach, and believer pushing this movement forward with us. Girls Flag is only getting stronger 💪✨
