Farmers Feeding the World Farmers Feeding the World engages individual farmers and farmer organization in the philanthropic support of hunger alleviation. are aware of these dynamics.

The Crisis:

* 870 million people worldwide live with hunger; 50 million are in the United States.

* Population growth and improving diets will continue to increase global food demand and exacerbate global hunger.

* Agriculture needs to produce at least 70% more food to support mankind’s growing food needs by the year 2050. Relatively few people within the U.S. Our Strategic Approach:

* We le

verage farmers and ranchers, industry, academia, government, consumers and NGO partnerships to:

* Elevate the next generation’s understanding of the connection between expanding global nutritional needs and advanced agriculture’s capacity to meet those needs

* Advocate for a policy environment that prioritizes hunger issues and empowers farmers and ranchers to meet the challenge

* Advance sustainable agricultural development and other proven hunger solutions.
