Last week, we celebrated the final day of our 2025–2026 Afterschool Program-- a year of growth, learning, and community-- by bringing all our youth centers together for a special end-of-year celebration.

Thank you to our dedicated Youth Services team, staff, and supporters who made this year possible. We’re proud of all our students and are excited to prepare for Summer Camp 2026! ☀️🎉

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Justice Housing Breakfast!

More than 230 supporters came together and helped raise over $120,000 to helps us create —expanding deeply affordable housing and services in resource-rich neighborhoods.

We’re grateful to everyone who attended and helped make the event a success!

🌺 A lovely afternoon visiting our partners at Jubilee Housing - one of the organizations in our new collaborative grant for Ward 1 - the Connected Care & Aging Network (C-CAN).

The grant supports our mission by providing options for older adults to age in place by connecting older-adult affordable housing with community-based programming.

Jubilee Housing offers individualized service coordination, health and wellness supports, food access, transportation, digital literacy, and community programming through strong local partnerships to help older adults age in place and reduce social isolation. ☕

🎨 Story Tapestries is also part of the collaboration and will deliver four culturally responsive, art-based workshops at Jubilee Housing to support memory, mental health, and social connection among older adults in permanent supportive housing.

Falls are the leading cause of injury among seniors. In 2025, our Resident Services team added fall risk screenings to wellness checks and identified 59 seniors at high risk. Thanks to a generous donation from The Edes Foundation, we were able to equip 50 senior households with both a shower and toilet chair for their bathrooms!

Each month, our seniors receive fresh food boxes from Hungry Harvest along with shelf-stable food boxes from the Capital Area Food Bank, distributed by our Resident Services team!
