The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), known as our Nation’s Report Card, shows that many public schools have drifted from their core mission of teaching essential skills like reading, writing, math, and science. The 2024 NAEP results reveal persistent declines in reading proficiency and slow, uneven recovery in math, highlighting the urgent need for greater accountability and a renewed focus on student achievement. Too often, valuable classroom time is diverted to topics such as sexual identity, politics, and ideological frameworks, while ignoring parental concerns. Today’s webinar will examine these challenges and spotlight constructive steps by parents, faith leaders, legal experts, and recent court rulings to bring the basics back to America’s classrooms.
Join Michael King, President of Massachusetts Family Institute, which has achieved remarkable success in providing practical solutions and legal advice to those who are struggling to improve their children's education in a changing scenario of out-of-control school curricula. He will share his methods and encourage us to fight for our parental rights. Also joining us is Miilhan Stephens, concerned parent and stalwart defender of religious liberty and parental choice in the classroom. He will respond to Michael's remarks with his own experiences of this topic as a parent and as a faith leader in these tumultuous times. Moderated by Jennifer Trench, Regional director of UPF Western Massachusetts.
