We are disappointed to see the House pass an agriculture funding bill that could force WIC to turn away eligible families for the first time in 30 years, while also cutting fruits and vegetables for moms and young children.

This measure also fails to protect flexible service options that make it easier for families to apply for and access WIC support. Every family should have the support they need for the healthiest possible start.

Congress must do better.
