Impact DMV Church

Impact DMV Church We exist to glorify God, to enjoy Him and to love others into His JOY! We accomplish this by a holistic approach to the explicit Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Christ Church and Dominion Church have been building a relationship since 2010. Pastor Lee Joyner served as Interim Pastor at Dominion Church in 2010 for approximately six months. Upon his return to Christ Church, Bishop Joyner was asked to be their supporting bishop, to which he has served faithfully for seven years. Bishop and Pastor Lee worked to establish, train and officially set in place the

pastoral team that has led Dominion Church these past years. We have come to realize that we are better together. Fully convinced that this is the will of God, we have come together to form a new church, Impact DMV Church. Pastor Lee serves as Lead Pastor; Bishop Henry Joyner, Apostle Thurlow Switzer and Elder Keith Strothers serve as advisors; and our pastoral teams have joined forces. The Dominion building has become the new home for Impact DMV Church in the center of a revitalized and diverse neighborhood. God has been GRACIOUS TO US… FOR HIS GLORY!!!

What a tremendous blessing it was to welcome Pastor William Covington, Lady Julia Covington, and the entire Grace Cathedral family as our guests this past Sunday! We are so grateful that you joined us for such a sweet time of food, fellowship, worship, and the preaching of God's Word from Pastor Covington. Our hearts were encouraged by your presence and the wonderful spirit of unity we shared together.

A special thank you to the Impact DMV Kitchen Ministry for providing a delicious meal, and to Lady Monique Webber and Sister Christina Chamberlain for pulling together our Joint Fellowship Choir. Y’all were absolutely AMAZING! What a blessing it was to hear God's people lift their voices together in praise. We have plans for yall!!!

Thank you to everyone who served, participated, and helped make this gathering so special. Days like this remind us of the beauty of Christian fellowship and the bond we share as brothers and sisters in Christ.

To God be the glory for a wonderful fellowship!

We had our second Open Air Gathering of the summer, and all I can say is To God Be the Glory!

I'm incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make this gathering such a blessing. Whether you helped plan, set up, tear down, served in a ministry area, greeted guests, prayed, worshiped, or worked behind the scenes where few people saw your efforts... thank you. It truly takes all of us, and your willingness to serve made a tremendous difference.

I love being part of a church family that understands and embraces the mission and vision of the house. Seeing so many people come out in 90+ degree heat, with rain threatening in the forecast, was both encouraging and inspiring. Your commitment, joy, and faithfulness were on full display.

Our mission is simple: "Make God's Name Great." And by His grace and mercy, that's exactly what we're seeing happen. Every conversation, every act of service, every prayer, and every expression of worship points people to Jesus and brings glory to His name.

Thank you to everyone who played a part. Thank you for your sacrifice, your servant's heart, and your love for God and His people. What a privilege it is to labor together for the Kingdom.

All for God's glory, our joy, and the joy of the nations!
Bishop Lee

TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!!!

As we enter the Month of June, our hearts are full of gratitude for the rich ministry we received from the women who faithfully shared God's Word under the theme, “Ordinary Faithfulness, Extraordinary God” through the month of May.

Each message reminded us that God delights in using ordinary people who are committed to faithful obedience.

Lady Ora Rollins challenged us with “Faithfulness in the Unseen.” She reminded us that God sometimes asks us to close our eyes—not to keep us in darkness, but to help us stop focusing on what we see and start listening to His voice.

Lady Carmen Joyner encouraged us to “Trust God with the Unseen.” There are seasons when what we know to be true about God doesn't seem to match our circumstances. Yet it is in that tension between belief and experience that genuine faith is refined and strengthened.

Lady Christine Wilson taught us the beauty of “Contentment in Small Callings.” In God's kingdom, there are no insignificant assignments. Every role matters, and when we trust God's sovereign design, we can serve with joy wherever He places us.

Lady Angela Jordan encouraged us through “God's Power in Ordinary Women.” The widow's small jar of oil became a testimony of God's abundant provision, reminding us that God does extraordinary things through ordinary faithfulness.

Lady Monique Webber concluded the month with “The Eternal Impact of Daily Obedience.” She reminded us that kingdom impact is often found not in the extraordinary moments, but in the small acts of obedience that faithfully honor God day after day.

Thank you, ladies, for your faithfulness, wisdom, and willingness to be vessels for God's glory. Your ministry has strengthened, challenged, and encouraged us. We all leave May inspired to live lives of ordinary faithfulness, trusting our extraordinary God to accomplish His purposes through us.

Here is the Youtube Playlist! We pray these teachings will richly bless and encourage you as they have blessed us.

What a beautiful and powerful Mother’s Day celebration at Impact DMV Church! We honor and celebrate all the amazing mothers and mother figures who continue to love, sacrifice, nurture, and reflect the heart of God in so many ways. Your "Impact" is immeasurable!

We were also deeply encouraged by the timely word shared by Lady Carmen entitled, “Trusting God with the Unseen.” It reminded us that even when we cannot trace God’s hand, we can always trust His character, who we KNOW Him to be. What a blessing to be strengthened in faith and reminded that God is working behind the scenes for our good.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special. Happy Mother’s Day from the Impact DMV family!
