We exist to glorify God, to enjoy Him and to love others into His JOY! We accomplish this by a holistic approach to the explicit Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Christ Church and Dominion Church have been building a relationship since 2010. Pastor Lee Joyner served as Interim Pastor at Dominion Church in 2010 for approximately six months. Upon his return to Christ Church, Bishop Joyner was asked to be their supporting bishop, to which he has served faithfully for seven years. Bishop and Pastor Lee worked to establish, train and officially set in place the pastoral team that has led Dominion Church these past years. We have come to realize that we are better together. Fully convinced that this is the will of God, we have come together to form a new church, Impact DMV Church. Pastor Lee serves as Lead Pastor; Bishop Henry Joyner, Apostle Thurlow Switzer and Elder Keith Strothers serve as advisors; and our pastoral teams have joined forces. The Dominion building has become the new home for Impact DMV Church in the center of a revitalized and diverse neighborhood. God has been GRACIOUS TO US… FOR HIS GLORY!!!

Tomorrow, we celebrate 8 years of being Impact DMV Church and 8 years of serving as its Lead Pastor!

What a journey it has been! TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!

We’ve experienced many of the birth pains associated with being born; labor, stretching, pressure, uncertainty, sacrifice, transition, loss, pruning, growing pains, and seasons when we simply had to wait on God to bring forth what He had ordained.

BUT…I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world!

I say with David, “It is good for me that I was afflicted” (Psalm 119:71). What I thought would break me, God used to build me. What stretched me, God used to strengthen me. What humbled me, God used to form me.

I’ve been stretched and formed in ways I never imagined possible, and there were moments when I would have fainted if I hadn’t believed that I would see “the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living” (Psalm 27:13).

Through it all, these last eight years have been absolutely AMAZING! Our benevolent Father has been so merciful to us and to me! His providence (purposeful sovereignty) has been undeniable and His grace has been fully sufficient!

As we reflect on where we’ve been and look forward to where God is taking us, let’s consider this:

IN VIEW OF GOD’S MERCY… LET’S BE FAITHFUL! — Romans 12:1

Let’s be faithful in our WORSHIP.
Faithful in our WALK.
Faithful in our WORK.
Faithful in our REST.
Faithful in our WITNESS.
Faithful in our SERVICE.
Faithful in our LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER.
Faithful to the MISSION GOD HAS GIVEN US.

We didn’t come this far because we were perfect. We came this far because God has been merciful. We can FULLY trust Him with the years ahead!

This Weekend in the Word challenged us to think beyond songs and emotions and fix our eyes on the One worship is truly about. Praying this message continues to shape the way we worship—not just on Sundays, but every day.

THIS is our 8th year of ministry at Impact DMV Church and we are celebrating our Pastor & First Lady (Bishop H. Lee & Lady Carmen Joyner), we are celebrating each other, and we are celebrating all that God has done over the past years!

What an amazing time of reflection and giving of thanks to God for being such a Faithful Father. He patiently walked us through all the challenges, kept us humble through all the successes, and taught us how to always be open and available to learn the things He highlights for us through each teaching series and season.

What an incredible week at ARISE 2.0 All-Day Vacation Bible School Summer Camp!

We are so grateful for another year of God's faithfulness as our children learned, created, explored, and grew together.

A very special thank you to Dr. Tonia Barnes for her outstanding leadership, vision, and hard work in making this year's camp such a success. Your passion for investing in the next generation is a true blessing to our church family.

Our campers enjoyed exciting STEM activities, hair braiding, art classes, and, most importantly, daily opportunities to grow in God's Word and experience the love of Christ. It was a joy to watch them learn new skills, build friendships, and have fun in a safe, Christ-centered environment.

Thank you to every teacher, volunteer, ministry leader, parent, donor, and supporter who gave your time, talents, and resources. Your faithful service made a lasting impact on the lives of our children.

We thank God for our second successful year of ARISE Summer Camp and are excited to see what He will continue to do in the years ahead.

To God be the glory for the great things He has done!

What a tremendous blessing it was to welcome Pastor William Covington, Lady Julia Covington, and the entire Grace Cathedral family as our guests this past Sunday! We are so grateful that you joined us for such a sweet time of food, fellowship, worship, and the preaching of God's Word from Pastor Covington. Our hearts were encouraged by your presence and the wonderful spirit of unity we shared together.

A special thank you to the Impact DMV Kitchen Ministry for providing a delicious meal, and to Lady Monique Webber and Sister Christina Chamberlain for pulling together our Joint Fellowship Choir. Y’all were absolutely AMAZING! What a blessing it was to hear God's people lift their voices together in praise. We have plans for yall!!!

Thank you to everyone who served, participated, and helped make this gathering so special. Days like this remind us of the beauty of Christian fellowship and the bond we share as brothers and sisters in Christ.

To God be the glory for a wonderful fellowship!

We had our second Open Air Gathering of the summer, and all I can say is To God Be the Glory!

I'm incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make this gathering such a blessing. Whether you helped plan, set up, tear down, served in a ministry area, greeted guests, prayed, worshiped, or worked behind the scenes where few people saw your efforts... thank you. It truly takes all of us, and your willingness to serve made a tremendous difference.

I love being part of a church family that understands and embraces the mission and vision of the house. Seeing so many people come out in 90+ degree heat, with rain threatening in the forecast, was both encouraging and inspiring. Your commitment, joy, and faithfulness were on full display.

Our mission is simple: "Make God's Name Great." And by His grace and mercy, that's exactly what we're seeing happen. Every conversation, every act of service, every prayer, and every expression of worship points people to Jesus and brings glory to His name.

Thank you to everyone who played a part. Thank you for your sacrifice, your servant's heart, and your love for God and His people. What a privilege it is to labor together for the Kingdom.
