We are an international non-profit organization with religious and political independence, legally formed and headquartered in Washington D.C., and extended through chapters in different countries. The CWLPS emerges from a shared vision and mission of its founders (mainly Fulbright Fellows). It consists of professionals strongly committed to fostering the empowerment of women leaders and promoting

their participation in public service in the Americas and the Caribbean. The CWLPS is focused on women; however, we also integrate men into the initiative, contributing to forming a relationship of equality and partnership between women and men.

𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭-𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞?🧐👇

In today’s digital ecosystem, information travels at an unprecedented speed. However, not everything that appears on our screens is true. Nowadays, verified facts, opinions, unfounded rumors, and outright disinformation compete for our attention on equal terms.

When we stop prioritizing the search for truth, the consequences directly affect public debate and governance:

1️⃣ Disinformation: Distorts our perception of reality and biases decision-making.
2️⃣ Polarization: Divides society into irreconcilable positions (“us” vs. “them”).
3️⃣ Distrust: Undermines the credibility of public institutions, science, and the media.

A strong democracy cannot be sustained by opinions alone; it requires an active citizenry capable of questioning, verifying, and engaging in dialogue.

🌍✨ Women's Leadership Around the World: Progress and Challenges Toward Equality

Globally, the presence of women in the highest political decision-making positions remains a significant milestone for the development of our societies. Today, 26 women hold the highest offices in their respective countries, equally divided between Heads of State (13 Presidents) and Heads of Government (13 Prime Ministers).

However, the data show that the journey toward equal representation is still far from complete:

📊 13% of the world's countries are currently led by a woman.

At the Consortium for Women Leaders in Public Service (CWLPS), we celebrate the achievements of women in leadership and reaffirm our commitment to advancing equal opportunities, strengthening representation, and promoting excellence in public service.

During this period of republican transition in Peru, we reflect on the milestones that shape our nation's journey. Following the official presentation of credentials on July 15, we now prepare for the presidential inauguration on July 28—a historic milestone for representation and public service in our country.

At the 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 - 𝐂𝐖𝐋𝐏𝐒, we celebrate this landmark moment and affirm that leadership extends far beyond the exercise of power; it is a unique opportunity to:

➡️En este Día Internacional de la Mujer, el Consorcio de Mujeres Líderes en Servicio Público reafirma su compromiso con el empoderamiento sistémico y la independencia económica como pilares fundamentales de la igualdad.

Celebramos a las mujeres que, en cada rincón del Perú, se movilizan para asumir las riendas de su propio destino y el liderazgo del país. Reconocemos que la verdadera participación política nace de la autonomía y de poder cumplir sueños, por ello honramos la valentía de quienes deciden resignificar el poder, aportando un modelo de gestión basado en la integridad y la capacidad de autogestión.

Nuestra misión sigue firme: trabajar por un país donde la trayectoria profesional y económica de cada mujer sea vista y valorada. Sabemos que cuando una mujer alcanza la libertad financiera, las barreras de desigualdad se transforman en oportunidades de incidencia real en la toma de decisiones.
